dam 15.10. stelle ich den landy in matthias‘ garage. Danach bringt mich ein taxi nach queretaro, von wo aus ich mit dem shuttlebus nach mexico DF auf den flughafen fahre (240 km)
am 17.10 treffe ich über dallas kommend in frankfurt ein, wo mich ute abholt. Abends Besuchen mich meine 3 kinder, worüber ich mich riesig freue.
ein fazit :
es war toll. Ich kann menschen mit neugier&fernweh nur empfehlen, so etwas auch zu tun. Man lernt sich auf die relevanten dinge zu konzentrieren. Relevanz heisst z b. Hält der keilriemen ? Ist das hotel sicher ? wurde bei der letzten kontrolle /durchsuchung drogen ins auto gelegt ? (beliebte geldbeschaffungsmaßnahme, dann ist man erpressbar) wer läuft hinter einem ?
diese reise hatte keinen erholungscharakter, man ist jeden tag am organisieren des weiteren fortbewegens. Da ich täglich mich ca 240 km fortbewegen soll, bedeutet ein ruhetag am darauffolgenden tag dann 480 km. In canada & usa mag das noch gehen, ab mexico bedeutet dies abseits der cuota (Gebührenpflichtige autobahn) jedoch mindestens 8 stunden fahren. Die reisegeschwindigkeit sinkt aufgrund des strassenzustands auf vielleicht 50-70 kmh.
Aber trotzdem : es lohnt sich diese länder abseits dergrossen touristikzentren kennenzu lernen. Die menschen sind freundlich und offen. Die landschaften unbeschreiblich schön und die kulturellen eindrücke überwältigend. Just do it.
a conclusion :
the trip was worth to make it. But it was definetely not a recreation journey.I was forced to drove 180 miles per day – not much if you drove in canada or the us – but latestly from mexico sidestreets on it tooks 8 hours for 200 miles per day. Although the security situation is a special question. In a group it works. But partly alone like me it is stressing. You cant move on streets at nighttime, always beware whos behind you at the moneyteller ( and who is standing around outside) even check whats up with your car and where can i took it safe at night…. Daily sorrows which making you tired after a while. The C5 states are beautiful and there are lovely people, gorgeous landscapes and unforgettable impressions. But i never felt really safe… And most of the people there are feeling the same.

erik, der belchier ( frei nach Asterix) getroffen ganz im süden und 3 unvergessliche tage und 2000 km zusammen gefahren. Wir waren ein herz und eine seele. Er lebt mit kolumbianischer frau in ….panama. Ausserdem ein verkäufertalent in 5(!) sprachen fließend…… Eric the belgic guy, met down south of mexico and drove together 3 days and 1300 miles. Lives in panama, we became friends. Speaks 5 languages fluently….
Joachim & bärbel. Deutsche. Sind seit 5 jahren mit expeditionsmobil unterwegs. Davon stehen sie seit 4 jahren auf einem ( …1 !!!!) campingplatz, weils ihnen halt so gefällt.
